The Harbaugh Seaside Trails Donor Plaza, designed by Betsy K. Schulz, is dedicated to the community who worked tirelessly to save the 3-acre coastal overlook at the gateway between Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Solana Beach. The overall structure is formed concrete with boulders strategically placed throughout. Sculptural ceramics depicting the local flora and fauna, nestle into recesses that flow throughout most of the concrete surfaces. Donor names are sandblasted in stone that circles around the top of the structure. Multiple seating areas built into the structure allow the visitor to rest, contemplate and enjoy the expansive views.
